Guess the character.
Build your Empire.
Empire is the party deduction game—sometimes called Celebrity Empire. Everyone submits a secret famous person or character, the full roster is revealed, and players take turns guessing who chose whom. Capture rivals into your Empire until one player rules the room.
The app is a digital host for that in-person game—not online multiplayer with remote friends.
Why play Empire?
Secret identities
Each player picks a character in private—real or fictional. The group sees every name on the roster, but not who submitted which one.
Deduction under pressure
On your turn, call out another player and a character. Get it right and they join your Empire—and you get another guess.
Empires snowball
Capture someone who already led an Empire and their whole chain comes with them. One wrong guess ends your turn—play until a single ruler remains.
How a match unfolds
Setup, then alternating turns of bold guesses—same flow as the classic party game.
Submit, shuffle, reveal
Everyone secretly enters a famous person or character. The app collects and randomizes the list, then reads the full roster aloud—every name in play, every submitter still hidden.
“Player B, is yours Spider-Man?”
Name a player and the character you think they chose. Correct: they join your Empire (plus anyone they already captured), and you guess again. Wrong: your turn ends and play moves on.
Win condition
Keep capturing until one player’s Empire includes everyone else. That’s the ruler of the room.
